Daisy Baby Quilts for Twins
Abbey and Adam are having twins! Not too long ago, I made them a picnic quilt for their wedding. They are expecting fraternal twin boys sometime this summer, so I made two little baby quilts. Abbey thinks she'll use yellow for their room, so I went with it.
I chose the Daisy Baby quilt from Piper Girls, which is free from Craftsy. Here's what I used:
Printed fabric is from Denyse Schmidt, Stonington Collection (which worked perfectly because I needed 30 prints)
The yellow is Kona Citrus 1077
The Grey is Kona Overcast 854
Yellow thread is Aurifil 28 weight Canary 2120
Grey thread is Aurifil 28 weight Arctic Sky 2612
Pieced with Aurifil 50 weight White 2024
Batting is Warm & Natural
These quilts are so sweet, easy and fun to make. I recently purchased both a Kona Cotton color card and an Aurifil Thread color card which made matching the yellow and grey fabrics to the yellow and grey thread so, so easy. Well worth the purchase.
